No, not the kind you clean with.
I’m talking about the amazing organization “Moms of Preschoolers”. There are over 3900 groups that meet in the US and around the world. To find one near you click here.
So what is MOPS? Its place to find friendship, community, resources and support for you as a woman and mother so you’re not alone. (taken from the facebook page for Central RI) Its designed for moms of kids 0-6 years of age but regardless of age, a mom is a mom, right?
I discovered MOPS shortly after I started attending my new church. I have now been a handful of times and every week, I look forward to it more and more.
We meet for an hour and a half every Tuesday (9:30-11). Which just happened to work out perfectly with Brady’s school schedule and gave Austin and I something to do. There is childcare provided so that the moms can really take in everything that is going on. The kids are so cute together. We craft, snack, have bible study, talk about daily life and give support and ideas to each other.
Next week, we’re making apple pies to bring home and bake on Thanksgiving!
If you’re looking for a little time out of the house and want to meet a group of great women, check out MOPS.
If you live in Rhode Island, there are several MOPS groups to choose from but I’d love for you to come to the one at Christian Hill (in W.Warwick). We’ve been looking for ways to expand our group and meet new moms. Check out the facebook page or contact me if you have any questions.
Hope to see you there!
